FLEXBALL 5000-MM Electronic Engine Control Kit
The FLEXBALL 5000-MM Electronic Engine Control Kit is a premium marine electronic control system designed for boats with mechanical throttle and mechanical gearbox control. It is suitable for vessels where the engine and gearbox are operated by mechanical push-pull cables, but where the owner wants the comfort, precision and modern feel of electronic control.
The FLEXBALL 5000 Series combines stylish Italian design, polished stainless steel construction, digital communication technology and modular system architecture. This makes it suitable for new boat installations, refits and upgrades from traditional mechanical control systems.
The system uses a 5000 Series electronic command lever at the helm. The driver’s throttle and shift commands are transmitted electronically through the system to the actuator unit or actuator units, which then move the mechanical throttle and gearbox cables. This allows smooth and precise control while keeping compatibility with mechanical engine and gearbox interfaces.

System Overview
The FLEXBALL 5000-MM system is built from a small number of modular components: the command lever, actuator assembly, data transmission cables and mechanical push-pull cables to the engine and gearbox. For mechanical throttle and mechanical gearbox installations, the actuator is installed near the engine or gearbox and operates the existing mechanical control interfaces.
For single engine boats, the system uses one actuator assembly. For twin engine boats, the system uses two actuator assemblies. The installation can be configured with one helm station or two helm stations depending on the vessel layout.

Included Push-Pull Cables
The kit includes FLEXBALL E3X Series push-pull cables in a standard length of 1.83 m / 6 ft. These cables are used between the actuator units and the engine throttle and gearbox control levers.
- Single engine configuration: includes 2 × E3X push-pull cables, one for throttle and one for gearbox control.
- Twin engine configuration: includes 4 × E3X push-pull cables, two for throttle control and two for gearbox control.
Other cable lengths are available on request. FLEXBALL E3X Series cables can be supplied in 30 cm / 1 ft length steps. After the standard 1.83 m / 6 ft version, the next common lengths are approximately 2.14 m / 7 ft, 2.44 m / 8 ft, 2.74 m / 9 ft, 3.05 m / 10 ft and longer.
Please confirm the required cable length before ordering. The correct cable length depends on the actuator position, engine room layout, gearbox position and routing path of the mechanical cables.

- Choose 5000-MM11 for a single engine boat with one control station.
- Choose 5000-MM12 for a single engine boat with two control stations.
