SCOUT issues warnings when obstacles or other vessels are detected ahead of the boat. The video can be displayed on a compatible screen¹ or marine chart plotter². The system is controlled via keyboard, mouse, or touchscreen display. Furthermore, the processing module includes a built-in WiFi module, enabling connectivity with mobile devices³ for video viewing and system control. This feature provides a live video feed on mobile devices, ensuring real-time situational awareness even without direct visual contact with the horizon.
We rely on time-tested components and emphasize simplicity to ensure long-term, maintenance-free operation. The system incorporates digital stabilization, achieving an optimal balance between video quality and durability. By avoiding moving parts in the camera module, we eliminate the typical wear and tear associated with gimbal stabilization systems.
For individual use, we highly recommend selecting the first camera setup. The second setup is significantly more expensive, and the video quality from the thermal camera in working environments often falls short of expectations—even with a 640x512 thermal sensor—when compared to RGB low-light cameras.
