MARITRONIX SCOUT is a camera-based computer vision system designed for advanced situational awareness in marine environments. The system detects targets ahead in real time and provides relay-based alarm output with on-screen visual indication.
SCOUT processes live video streams using embedded Maritronix software and a continuously refined AI/ML detection model. Targets below the horizon are automatically detected and highlighted. Configurable guard zones allow the operator to define warning and alert areas according to operational requirements.
The system performs reliably in low-light and night-time conditions, delivering consistent detection performance without mechanical stabilization systems.
SCOUT activates an external relay when obstacles or other vessels are detected ahead of the boat. This relay output allows the user to connect a warning light or an audible alarm system of their choice. In addition, detection indications are visible directly within the video feed on the connected display. The processed video can be shown on a compatible screen or on a marine chart plotter (MFD) equipped with a video input. System operation is performed via keyboard, mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen connected to the processing unit.
We rely on time-tested components and emphasize simplicity to ensure long-term, maintenance-free operation. The system incorporates digital stabilization, achieving an optimal balance between video quality and durability. By avoiding moving parts in the camera module, we eliminate the typical wear and tear associated with gimbal stabilization systems.
OPTIONAL COMPLETE INTEGRATED MARINE BRIDGE SOLUTION
Available as an optional integrated hardware package for new builds and refit projects:
– Maritronix X Series touchscreen marine monitor (up to 24”), IP67 CNC-machined aluminum enclosure
– Maritronix M-Core Linux-Powered Marine Computer, 6-core ARM Cortex 64-bit CPU
– IP65 marine aluminum keyboard with integrated trackball and backlight
All components are engineered for marine environments, ensuring reliability, mechanical robustness, and long-term operation under demanding conditions.
When combined with SCOUT, this configuration enables the system to function as a fully integrated onboard Linux workstation running Ubuntu Linux. It can be used for email communication, digital logbook management, and professional third-party chartplotter software.
The result is a unified, professional marine bridge platform — not only a detection system, but a complete operational solution.
